Returns and Refunds

Faulty Items

 

All of the products we sell come with their relevant manufacturers warranty (warranty time varies between brands and products). You are also covered by an automatic product guarantee under Australian Consumer Law. If you believe that an item you purchased is faulty due to a manufacturing defect, you may be entitled to a repair, exchange or refund. If this is the case, you will need to contact us stating the reasons for your return and provide a copy of your receipt or proof of purchase. We will issue you with a RAN (Return Authorisation Number) which must accompany the returned goods. Manufacturer warranties may vary between products so please refer to the product documentation.

 

Incorrectly Described or Delivered Items

 

You can ask for an exchange or refund on incorrectly delivered items or items that have been described incorrectly on our website. Please contact us stating the reasons for your return request and provide a copy of your proof of purchase.

Please note that no exchange or refund will be given if:

  • The returned item/s are not in their original packaging and of resalable condition.
  • Are damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Returned more than 30 days after purchase.
  • No Return Authorisation Number (RAN) accompanies the returned item/s

We will also pay for the return freight on incorrectly described or delivered Items
 

Change of Mind



We are always willing to work with customers to ensure that they make the most suitable purchase for their requirements. However, in some circumstances you may want to return the item/s for reasons not related to warranty or rights under consumer law. In this case you may return the item/s (unused) for an exchange or refund within 7 days from purchase date.
Please note that our Change of Mind return policy will be voided and no exchange or refund will be given if:

  • The item/s have been used.
  • Not in their original packaging and of resalable condition.
  • Are damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Returned more than 7 days after purchase date.
  • Do not have a return authorisation number issued by us.
  • Originally purchased under any discount promotion or sale.

A 12% handling and restocking fee will be charged on all change of mind returns and the customer will also be responsible for the cost of traceable return freight. Any original delivery charges are also non-refundable.

Our change of mind policy only applies to products that are purchased by a non-commercial entity.

 

Not Deliverable

 

As most of the products we sell are delivered by courier services they will require a signature on delivery. If the courier company is unable to obtain an authorised signature they will leave a notice at the delivery address and hold the goods at their nearest depot for a short amount of time. It will then be the customers responsibility to contact the courier company to arrange a collection from their depot or re-delivery. If, after all attempts to contact the customer have been exhausted, the goods will be returned to us. If the goods are returned to us under these circumstances, the customer will be charged a 12% handling and restocking fee. Additionally, the cost of the original and return insured freight charges will be taken out of any remaining refund amount due to the customer.

 

Refunds (if applicable)

 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 business days.

Please note that where an item is damaged through misuse or abnormal use, Air Purifiers Direct will not provide a refund, exchange or repair.

 

Exchanges (if applicable)

 

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged, incorrectly described on our website or if the incorrect item was delivered.

 

Gifts

 

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased, the original purchaser will receive a credit (less any relevant charges) for the value of your return.

 

Freight Costs

 

Freight costs are non-refundable in all circumstances other than when an item is incorrectly described on our website or if the incorrect item was delivered. If you are returning an item/s, we strongly advise that you use a traceable or insured freight service, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned goods.


Very Important:
 

Before you can return any goods, we must assign a unique RAN (Return Authorisation Number) and the RAN must accompany the returned goods.

It is very important that you do not send your purchase back to either us or the manufacturer without first contacting us and being issued with a RAN. If a customer return arrives without a RAN it will not be accepted and the goods will be returned back to you. The courier service may then directly charge you additional fees for this.
